The short version: Clautics stores everything locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. The extension does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your usage data, browsing history, or personal information. Nothing leaves your device except the two requests described below.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Clautics Chrome extension ("Clautics", "the extension", "we") handles data. Clautics is a usage-analytics tool for Claude.ai that operates entirely within your browser.
By installing and using Clautics, you agree to the practices described below.
Clautics stores the following data locally on your device only, in chrome.storage.local. It is never transmitted to any Clautics server — we don't operate one.

No message content is ever read or stored. Clautics only tracks that a message was sent — a count — never what you typed or what Claude answered.
There is no Clautics account system and no server that receives your usage data. We have no way to see or access anything the extension stores.
Clautics contacts two external services, under specific circumstances only:
Claude.ai (Anthropic) — the extension reads Claude's own internal usage-limit API from within your browser, using your existing authenticated session. These requests are indistinguishable from ones your browser already makes. Your data there is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Lemon Squeezy (Pro users only) — activating a Pro license key sends that key to Lemon Squeezy's license-validation API. The result is cached locally for 24 hours; nothing else is sent.
No other third-party service is contacted by Clautics.
Clautics requests the following Chrome permissions, each used only for the stated purpose:

Clautics is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the extension, contact us and we'll address it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect that. Continued use of Clautics after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
